PORON® Aquapro Foams : Enhanced Water Sealing
INTRO
PORON® AquaPro is a family of microcellular polyurethane foams engineered specifically for water sealing, offering greater closed-cell content and a lower compression force than standard PORON foam grades. Insul-Fab converts AquaPro into die-cut gaskets, seals, and custom parts for applications where a tight, reliable water seal is critical.
FEATURES
- Enhanced closed-cell content for superior water sealing versus standard PORON foam grades
- Available in two formulations: 4701-37 (very soft) and 4701-41 (soft, higher closed-cell content for vacuum sealing or low closure-force needs)
- Requires the lowest compression force of any PORON water-sealing formulation to achieve a tight seal
- Thermally stable from -40°F to 194°F continuous use (up to 248°F intermittent)
- Low outgassing, low compression-set microcellular polyurethane construction
DETAILS
PORON AquaPro is a purpose-built water-sealing polyurethane foam from Rogers Corporation, designed for applications where standard foam gasketing can't achieve a reliable seal without excessive compression force. Its enhanced closed-cell structure resists water ingress even in low-closure-force designs, making it well suited to thin, weight-sensitive, or vacuum-sealed electronic enclosures. Available in 4701-37 and 4701-41 formulations, AquaPro is offered in supported and unsupported constructions. Insul-Fab die-cuts and fabricates PORON AquaPro into custom gaskets and seals to print.
