Concote Laminating Adhesives
Introduction
Insul-Fab distributes a complete line of Concote laminating adhesives engineered for converting, foam fabrication, gasketing, and graphic arts applications. Concote pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) are formulated to bond reliably to a wide range of cellular and solid substrates — including open and closed cell foams, metals, HSE plastics, neoprene blend sponge, and microcell polyurethanes — while remaining RoHS compliant and free of toxic solvents.
The Concote lineup includes unsupported transfer acrylics and double-coated film adhesives available in standard and heavy coat weights, with multiple liner options to support die cutting, kiss cutting, roll slitting, and web splicing processes. Products are available in standard roll widths and custom slit widths to suit OEM production requirements.
Features
- Aqueous-based acrylic formulations — aggressive tack with no toxic solvents
- Available in unsupported transfer and double-coated film constructions
- Standard and heavy coat weights (1.5 mil and 3.5 mil) for varying bond strength requirements
- Differential double-coated options combining rubber and acrylic adhesive systems for dissimilar substrate bonding
- Operating temperature range: -20°F to +230°F
- RoHS compliant across the full product line
- Multiple liner options including bleached densified kraft (60#, 80#) and poly-coated lay-flat (84#)
- Available with 6" back-slits for easy liner removal in automated assembly
- Plasticizer-resistant formulations available to prevent adhesive migration
- Suitable for kiss cutting, die cutting, and roll slitting
Details
Concote laminating adhesives are aqueous-based, RoHS-compliant pressure-sensitive adhesives engineered for foam converting, gasketing, and graphic arts applications. Available in unsupported transfer acrylic and double-coated film constructions, they bond reliably to metals, plastics, foams, and rubber across a working temperature range of -20°F to +230°F.
Applications
Concote laminating adhesives are used across a broad range of industrial converting and fabrication applications:
- Foam lamination — bonding open and closed cell foams to film, foil, fabric, or rigid substrates
- Gasket manufacturing — die-cut gaskets and seals in HVAC, appliance, and industrial assemblies
- Graphic arts — mounting films, labels, and display graphics
- Corrugator and web splicing tape — high-temperature web splicing operations
- Dissimilar substrate bonding — joining foam, plastic, rubber, and metal components using differential adhesive systems
- Thermal and acoustic insulation assembly — laminating insulation layers in OEM fabrication
- Automotive and transportation components — temperature-resistant adhesive bonding in demanding environments
- Electronics and appliance manufacturing — low-migration adhesives for plasticizer-containing substrates
