K42-N
K42-N is a medium-density, closed-cell NBR/PVC/CR foam built for gasketing and sealing applications that need more mechanical durability and firmness than softer foam grades provide.

- NBR/PVC/CR closed-cell foam with a higher-density, medium-firm feel (6-8 lb/ft³) for demanding gasketing applications
- High tensile strength (75 psi min.) and tear strength (15.0 lb/in min.) for durability under mechanical stress
- UL 94 rated HF-1, V-0, and 5VA for flame-resistant applications
- Meets GMW 15473 Class 1 Type IV, Chrysler MSAY 516 Type 2, Chrysler MSZ-75 J18, and Ford WSK-M2D419-A automotive specifications
- Rated for NEMA enclosure types 2, 3, 3R, 3S, 4, 4X, 5, 6, 6P, 12, 12K, and 13, including oil immersion, under UL 50/50E

K42-N is a medium-density, closed-cell NBR/PVC/CR foam (ASTM D1056 2B2) built for gasketing and sealing applications that demand more firmness and mechanical durability than softer foam grades. Its higher density and tensile/tear strength make it well suited to applications with more rigorous handling or higher compression loads, while its NEMA and UL 50/50E ratings — including suitability for oil immersion — extend its use into industrial enclosure sealing. K42-N also holds GM, Chrysler, and Ford automotive material approvals. Insul-Fab converts K42-N into die-cut gaskets, sheets, and roll stock to match project specifications.
