Insul-Fab Sales

Insul-Fab has been a sales driven company since its inception almost 30 years ago. Every person in the company realizes that our customers are the reason we exist and that everyone impacts the customer's satisfaction in one way or another.

Sales Team

We have a group of talented Sales Engineers, many with Engineering degrees and/or years of related experience. In most cases, the Sales Engineer is also the Account Manager for the long term, so customers don't feel as if they're being "passed off" after the initial development process. Sales Engineers receiving routine training on products and processes to meet our goal of continual improvement in all areas. In addition, there are an equivalent number of helpful Inside Sales and Customer Service Advocates ready to assist with order placement, expediting, status updates, post shipment tracking and follow up requirements.

Manufacturers Representatives

Depending on market and region, we also utilize a network of Manufacturer's Representatives to better serve our customers. They help define application opportunities and requirements, perform many of the face-to-face meetings, sample and prototype demonstrations, and provide us with information to help us better understand our customer's business challenges and needs. We have representative coverage over most of the continental United States, Northern Mexico, and China.

Design Assistance & Technical Support

Most applications require some level of design or engineering involvement, or at the very least, material selection. Insul-Fab and its Sales Engineering Team provides expertise and recommendations regarding material selection, specifications, suggestions for manufacturability, and regulatory compliance data free of charge during the design phase. We can also provide rapid prototypes or samples in most cases with little or no tooling expense.

Quoting

Once a design is finalized, or where a print was already available from the customer, Insul-Fab has a Production Engineering Team ready to evaluate the RFQ and provide response back to the Sales Team within 24-48 hours in most cases. Applications requiring further design consideration or hard to acquire bill of material costing information may take longer, but status updates will be provided to the customer during the process.

Ordering

During the initial order, customers can choose to either set up a credit account or pay by credit card (American Express, Visa, or MasterCard). Orders can be faxed, e-mailed, or even taken verbally. Confirmations of customer orders are sent within 48 hours to allow time for entry, material procurement, scheduling, and response. Orders for new parts and/or new customers may take slightly longer.

Lead Times

The duration of time for order processing and shipment varies by material availability and job complexity, usually 3 days to 3 weeks. Insul-Fab will keep stock of widely used materials to help keep lead times short. We commit to our customers to confirm ship dates we know to be achievable, and then commonly improve on those dates with expediting.

Services and Support

Additional services requested by some customers relating to the order receipt, confirmation, shipment, and billing process are easily accommodated by our helpful Inside Sales and Customer Service Group. Examples include web based order downloads and confirmation, order status reports, shipment confirmations and tracking, web based invoicing, and shipping document e-mails for import preparations.

Terms and Conditions

Insul-Fab Terms and Conditions of Sales incorporate generally accepted job shop type conditions. Payment terms are established based on credit approval.

RMA Requests

In the event that an order is rejected by the customer and requires return, a Return Material Authorization (RMA) request should be made to the customer's Account Manager or an Inside Sales Team Member. We can issue and RMA number immediately if we concur with the nature of the defect. Credit processing is performed only after return of the product to Insul-Fab, or some other means of review, and agreement with the defect finding.

Customer Comments

Insul-Fab welcomes and invites all customer comments, both positive and negative. Our business relies on customer satisfaction and continual improvement based on customer feedback. Customers may periodically receive a short survey with their shipment. Additionally, each member of our Sales Team has a link to a customer survey on their e-mail signature.
