Formex GK and Insul-Fab : Still the Best Choice

ITW Formex recently announced an increase in prices to its Formex, Formex GK, and Statex product lines for flame retardant polypropylene.  Reasons cited by General Manager Chris Benson include "rising global prices for oil, gas, and energy related petrochemicals used for thermoplastic resin raw stocks."

INSUL-FAB, Division of Concote Corporation expected such an increase as all similar and competitive materials in the marketplace have seen significant increases in the last 6 months as well citing similar reasons.  ITW Formex has actually done better than most at keeping prices in check over the past several years when you look at changes over an extended period of time.

Even at the new price points, Formex GK and Statex remain highly competitive in the marketplace and clearly the superior product from a performance standpoint when considering flame retardant insulation and thin film applications for a wide variety of industry applications.  Similarly, INSUL-FAB remains the clear choice for fabricated parts utilizing adhesive lamination, laser cutting, die cutting, heat forming, and printing.
