![]() Insul-Fab Anticipates No Direct Impact on Supply Chain from Japan Disaster4/1/11 - Andy Webb - President In light of the devastation due to the triple disaster in Japan of the earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear reactor damage, Insul-Fab has actively assessed its supply base for potential disruptions to material flow that would impact our operations and those of our customers. Fortunately, Insul-Fab identified just 2 suppliers with operations in Japan, and neither one had sustained damage from the event. Neither supplier forsees any direct impact to their ability to fulfill our orders and both have made shipments since the event. Although this news is encouraging to both Insul-Fab and its customer base, we remain acutely aware of the potential disruptions that limitations to the Japanese power supply infrastructure or upstream raw material supply may impose. We are taking actions to ensure adequate material is on-hand at our facility to avoid short term issues such as this. We will continue to monitor this situation as our thoughts and prayers are with the Japanese people in this time of amazing crisis. If we see disruptions from the direct suppliers we have in Japan or from upstream suppliers to any of our raw material vendors due to the event, we will post additional information on this site and inform the impacted customers directly.
