About Insul-Fab

Insul-Fab is a division of Texas based Concote Corporation that provides custom solutions to OEM's and their subcontractors around the world. We offer a wide variety of materials, fabrication, and distribution services with unlimited combinations. Our strong vendor base, quality systems, and relative size in the industry are recognized as characteristics of best-in-class companies of our type.

For our customers, Insul-Fab helps to develop applications at the engineering level, provides prototypes, and delivers production quantities large or small.

History

Insul-Fab was founded originally as Insul-Fab of Texas in 1980 (a.k.a. Insulfab) as a custom fabricator of fiberglass insulation and foam products for primarily HVAC Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM's) based in Texas. It was soon acquired by another small company, Concote Corporation, a tape distributor looking to add fabrication capabilities to their market offering. Over the years, Insul-Fab has grown into a company of over 250 people serving customers in numerous global markets. Concote Corporation, our parent company, is privately held and operates two business divisions, Insul-Fab, and SpecTape, a distributor of specialty tapes and packaging products.

Locations

Insul-Fab has facilities in three Texas locations occupying a total of over 250,000 square feet of administration, manufacturing, and warehouse space. Headquarters and Sales offices are located at our Dallas Plant. Additional facilities are located strategically to support the East Texas (Tyler) and South Texas (Houston) markets.

Markets Served

Our roots started in HVAC equipment, and that, along with transportation and electronics markets, remain a strong focus for us today as well. In addition, we also provide solutions to medical, aerospace, athletic, defense, and telecommunications firms, to name a few. The variety of materials and processes we employ have applications in so many areas that we're never afraid to try something new.

Because of the diversity of markets we operate in, Insul-Fab's services can be defined by the needs of each customer we serve. We do not subscribe to the philosophy that one size fits all.

We have achieved a recognition level, such as Master Fabricator, with numerous suppliers including Johns Manville, ITW Formex, 3M, and Armacell to name a few.
